Praise is now going to come , it was a good performance in an entertaining overall game.A pantomime referee who let all sorts of shenanigans go totally unpunished. Who let the Telford players rant and rave at him all day without any reproach, guess Adam Smith was shorter than him so he felt less bullied. Telford cheated, scammed, kicked, dived for free kicks as well as diving two footed into tackles and then scrambled an undeserved goal that was either knee or hand depending on which side you support. In fact they did everything that gets a team into the play off zone.. Lets hope we learn a few lessons in cynical professionalism from them.
Good entertainment in front of an aldershot level ( in joke) of away support that had a go at banter and singing. The carol singers must of been off stealing from the credit crunch bargain hunters.
Again it showed that 4-4-2 works.
At worst we cancelled them out and at best we cut through them at ease.Any bullshit that Uncle Keith has written in programmes about not playing one up front and actually playing 4-3-3 most of the time is in my own manager voice bullshit. We have not played it simple as.
Is Keith in the same patronising camp as Roeder in what he thinks of fans and their knowledge. We might not have the badges but most of us do know what we are talking about even if it not always expressed in the politest terms.
Back to the game the Telford goalkeeper made 3 top class saves any keeper would of been proud of to deny us and when we did score from a ball that looked out of play when it was cut back it was more than deserved.
Credit where credit is due .
Will we kick on up in Manchester on Saturday or is it back to reality?
What does concern me is that in a radio interview on Friday Keith spoke of a dressing room that is split into little clicks and that they all need to pull together. Has he lost the dressing room?
Make Mark Camm captain again to start with.
One negative is that is Fisk good enough? No.
