That the current club first team fine for a yellow card is £35 pounds so a dodgy referee, a slightly late tackle, doing it for the club can mean real money out of the pocket..Is that why Chapman didn't bring the player down much earlier in the game vs Stafford ?
That leaves Jack £175 out of pocket (without the sending off) for putting in normal challenges. He gets the shit kicked out of him by central defenders but is more than picked on when challenging for the ball himself... As a player that doesn't need to challenge for a ball would you bother again ?
Food for thought !
More managerial miss management?
I agree that fines need to be paid for daft challenges and dissent but there should be some degree of sensibility. Will the fine stop a player making a professional challenge when needed? Probably .
So do we stand a chance against Telford today? I won't put money on it.
