Not sure if the lp "Arcade Perfect" is from very late 07 or from early this year. Either way you should buy it and the new "Rare,Rejected& Arcade Perfected"while you are at it .

Slumdog Millionaire
What a top notch film this is,not on general release until Jan 09.I caught up with a copy that fell into my hands today,no pub,bin liner or dodgy Dave involved.
What a great film,2 days before the end of the year it is my film of the year but will on everyone else's list next year.
It is a must watch even at a grossly overpriced cinema.
Please don't eat in the cinema though.I absolutely hate the sound of wrappers rustling and think that all food should be banned as should those that slurp their drinks...

A Ramble on about .....
Yet again another year has flown past and we are in that waiting room for the new year celebrations , well a party popper and a large gin and tonic in my case whilst watching the ex squeeze man tinkle on his Ivory's.....Elton John is competing against him...wtf...That lump of over- rated lard wearing Timmy Mallett glasses with an Argos candle on his piano , singing the same shit songs that he did in the 70's no fucking chance ....I will leave that to the outraged Daily Mail readers that normally think homosexuality is a sin ... just like the Pope ...
How confused must those gay or transsexual roman catholics that look for him for advice be now....This man is living in a world that should never of existed.
Back to the holiday...just what is this time , all of the retail workers are back to work fighting off people that want something for nothing, the shops have paid their commercial rents for Dec and are now looking to raise the money to survive to pay the next lot in March. How much discount can they give? & Do you really need a new fridge in terracotta with shades of lilac and grey even if it is only £999,does the old one not still work?
The next couple of months will be a shoplifters paradise.... the retailers will cut all their costs to a minimum which will mean staff as that is the easily adjustable overhead...and stores will look like they are empty not just of people but of everyone...Its time to get down the local pub if you still have one and catch up with Dodgy Dave and give him your shopping list...There is no discount like they one you get buying goods from a black bin liner...
Again back to the question ... this is a nothing time for many ..
Do you want to go shopping ? No.
DIY ? Are you taking the piss.
Exercise .... ha ha ha , can't do that til the new year .There are rules you know.
So we sit, eat, drink and do fuck all.....What a waste.. but a beautiful waste of time.
Back to that Football Manager game ( & I haven't been lower than 10th all season with Kings Lynn)

Hark now
Hark now hear the Kings Lynn sing , the Gainsborough ran away for we will fight for evermore because of Boxing day .... What a hollow ring that has .. Fuck i wish we had Bostscum in our league now that would of been a game to really get excited about regardless of league positions or form...
How are you supposed to get excited about a game against a club that you couldn't give a monkeys about ever in front of a couple of 6 toed inbreds and a one eyed dog on a trolley...
It just does not get the pulse even registering on the portable heart monitor that the wiffee stole from Woolies for me.
Anyone else destroy the red wine yesterday? I am not sure if the hangover is on the way or it just isn't gonna happen ... well ho hum bah humbug time to waste another hour getting Kings Lynn relegated on football manager 09.. I finally succumbed and my life is now officially over ...
The new Lancashire Hotpots LP landed in the tiger print y fronts as Santa discharged into some local y shaped ladies stocking and it is very very funny ....I may even share a few tracks.
COFFEEE ......

At Home to The Other Linnets
What an absolute crock of shit ...
There is nothing to analyse it was just fuckin awful . one shot all game against a team that are bottom 3 . JJ on the bench ....
If i was not on the drug KLFC that would of been my last game for a very long time.
The only way to sort it out is too get rid of Uncle Keith.
Moreof that fare then crowds will really dwindle .
Conclusion of the game is how many more times will we pay ten hard earned English pounds to have a beer and a chat with our mates because that is what it is being reduced too.
Last time i checked entry to the pub was free for that.
Very Very Unhappy and angry

The Age of Wisdom - William Makepeace Thackeray
HO! pretty page, with the dimpled chin,
That never has known the barber’s shear,
All your wish is woman to win;
This is the way that boys begin:
Wait till you come to forty year. | 5 |
| |
Curly gold locks cover foolish brains;
Billing and cooing is all your cheer—
Sighing, and singing of midnight strains,
Under Bonnybell’s window panes:
Wait till you come to forty year. | 10 |
| |
Forty times over let Michaelmas pass;
Grizzling hair the brain doth clear;
Then you know a boy is an ass,
Then you know the worth of a lass,
Once you have come to forty year. | 15 |
| |
Pledge me round; I bid ye declare,
All good fellows whose beards are gray,
Did not the fairest of the fair
Common grow and wearisome ere
Ever a month was pass’d away? | 20 |
| |
The reddest lips that ever have kiss’d,
The brightest eyes that ever have shone,
May pray and whisper and we not list,
Or look away and never be miss’d,
Ere yet ever a month is gone. | 25 |
| |
Gillian ’s dead! God rest her bier—
How I loved her twenty years syne!
Marian ’s married; but I sit here,
Alone and merry at forty year,
Dipping my nose in the Gascon wine. | 30 |

T'is Joketime
A married couple went to the hospital to have their baby delivered. Upon their arrival, the doctor said he had invented a new machine that would transfer a portion of the mother's labor pain to the father.
He asked if they were willing to try it out. They were both very much in favor of it. The doctor set the pain transfer to 10% for starters, explaining that even 10% was probably more pain than the father had ever experienced before. But as the labor progressed, the husband felt fine and asked the doctor to go ahead and kick it up a notch. The doctor then adjusted the machine to 20% pain transfer. The husband was still feeling fine.
The doctor checked the husband's blood pressure and was amazed at how well he was doing. At this point they decided to try for 50%. The husband continued to feel quite well. Since the pain transfer was obviously helping out the wife considerably, the husband encouraged the doctor to transfer ALL the pain to him. The wife delivered a healthy baby with virtually no pain. She and her husband were ecstatic.
When they got home, the mailman was dead on the porch.

Workington Away in the Trophy
I didn't get to the game and it will be nearly 3 weeks of not seeing the first team by the time the 20th arrives. The longest period of missing them for a long while.Tears of frustration do flow.
Thanks to the fighter who kept me updated through the game as i watched the reserves for the second week running. I might even know a few names if this level of support continues.
The Fighter sent me this text at the end of the game
Lost 4-3 what a cunt .. (if you find this word offensive then tough and get a life-my words).
On his return the following text arrived.
Well what a strange day!
Pantomime football
Webby uncrossing his arms an getting excited
Thick snow on the A17 on the way home
600mile round trip and home in just over 4 hours!
OH! the joys of following KLFC!
Merry Fuckin Christmas
This lad made it to both Workington games and is as far as i know the only ever present supporter of the club this season
Extremely well played than man
The Reserves , 9 goals, & 3 sending's off in a game without a nasty tackle.
They play some nice football at times which has been coached into them at a young age.
Good Entertainment all round.

MND Facebook Vote
Many of you know that my wife has MND . There is a campaign running on Facebook by a sufferer called Sarah Ezekiel to raise awareness of the disease and it needs your vote if you have an account . Please Vote
Although I am now severely disabled I am trying to raise awareness of MND. I cannot use my arms and type with my chin using a program called E Z Keys. My speech is badly impaired so my laptop is my lifeline, enabling me to communicate with people all over the world.
Since joining Facebook I have made contact with other sufferers of MND and their families/carers. I have also found many wonderful support groups. I write notes about my experiences of living with MND and feel that I’m helping and educating a wide range of people globally. I have just appeared in an advert showing the devastation that MND causes. It will be shown on TV and in cinemas throughout the UK.
I love the way that Facebook is so interactive, more so than any other social networking site. I feel that I have a new lease of life now! If I win this competition I would like to donate the prize to a MND charity.
Please vote Using the links above if you have a Facebook Account

At last a worded football post
It is about time I made an effort to post some words on this here blog.
Last Saturday against Stafford , well most of what i was going to write was already all over the forum by Sunday dinner time hence why i haven't put an analysis of the game up.
In brief the first half was shit on both sides and another error this time by JT let the guy rocket a great long range hit into the net.Why do we not shoot more from distance.Mr Frew please don't read the last sentence the corner flags like to feel lonely,it is their vocation.
The second half featured the best bit of concerted football we have played all season. For 30 minutes we looked in a hated American word "Awesome".I won't slag Keith off for his team selection because i would of picked the same for the beginning of the game and his use of subs was pretty dam good although i did question the Francis for JJ instead of Frew initially.MR frew played some superb raking cross field balls to Francis to prove this wrong and it was good strong placed header for the second goal. The penalty was well played by the forward and poor by an experienced full back. Why not bring the player down much earlier and take the booking.
we need to be more clinical and cynical if we are to ever get into the higher reaches of this league.
I see that Sedgemore was benched yesterday...A round of applause for the manager for that one.
Twas a very good point up at the lakes yesterday and well done to those hardy speed merchants that made the trip.I haven't spoke to anyone about the game but have heard via the Porter that the first half was the worst half that the Shrimp man had ever had the misfortune to see,he was sober though.
I sampled the reserves and it was a shrivelling walnut level of cold and this game was dire as well first half. The second half picked up and was all the reserves who saved us all from the cold with a well worked last 30 second goal.Did any players stand out? Simply the answer to that is No.
