Well the EDP interview showed how small time the Lynn news is or at the very least how tied? scared ? the Lynn news reporters are to/of the club.. Grow some Balls Lynn news the club needs you more than you need them.. tell it how it is... Someone will always talk to you and you can sit anywhere in the ground to do a match report...
The EDP interview ... well lets dissect it and apply comment.
1..Wow from suddenly being play off hopefuls in his words now we are in receipt of a relegation check /this turning into a relegation battle.... ...Good u turn there... why are we in this new battle...?
2..Need to appreciate where we have come from and where we are going ... ....well we know where we have come from and are on the road to returning there in one season when the players are good enough to comfortably hold their own.
3.. The Tamworth result wasn't a true reflection....... sorry but you are simply wrong , yes we battled but offered very little and Tamworth were more than worthy winners... as for not being able to tell who the top side was ... you are having a laugh...Tamworth were a league above us all over the pitch.
4..Couldn't quibble over the effort? I will agree on this but effort alone just isn't enough.
5.. Defending his team selection.. ha ha ha ... now that is funny and then the formation... If that is 3 up front then i am a monkeys uncle twice removed... it was 2 up front with JJ and JD ... well that is how the players set up .. How Keith told them to set up is for him to know i guess or just guess!
6.. The boys just failed to put the ball in the back of the net ..... what the fuck... you have to have shots on goal for that to happen ...... something we barely did ....
A good interview overall though and there to be picked at ......with an axe
Its now too late to heal this weeping wound....

Tamworth away
The minibus returned and a straight forward ish journey with the A5 used instead of the M6 for the last part of the journey and an alternative but more effective route to the ground.... A Chippy and offie spotted on route The general mood was of resignation with pockets of I fancy us to nick this ......Me included in the last bit... The king had a mardy on for some reason... moody bastard...but it did mean a quieter journey .... Rebelation did lead the back row on a bit of ballroom rumba but the the one eyed banker showed that his guilty feet didn't have any rhythm so it was back to a sing along badly Oasis - stop the clocks and dance mixes to boom us on our way... Rabbit returned to a round of applause ...to end the journey .....
£5 to park a minibus .....what is that all about .. but hey i got a receipt... fuck that made me feel a whole lot better ... The ground really hasn't changed over the the years ....and the clubhouse is no different to how it was ten+ years ago.One wag described it as a set from Dr who .....stuck in a time warp vortex.. Guess that is why the referee felt so at home and as is often the case leaned in that direction.
Well Keith shook up the hat and picked out some different names for the starting line up and their positions ....Frew on the Left ... umm isn't he right footed ? ... Camm on the left ?... Good to see Mitchell back in the line up.... did anyone else realise that he is listed everywhere as a right sided defensive player ... ie.. right back ??.... Crane started ahead .. why why why ?? of presumably fit again Peters ... if he is on the bench surely he is fit ?
The game...Well we played ok and held up well but they were much stronger, fitter and had an edge that showed why they are top of the league and showed the togetherness that Mill's sides have. They should of been 3 up in the first twenty minutes and attacking wise all game we mustered ... well nothing to be truthful and the only save and it was a very good one the Tamworth keeper had to make was from a set play ...
The actual physical performance of the players was not to bad but creatively it was poor ...It was just like a containment issue... There was a gentleman's agreement that we would not start on the manager until we were at least 2 nil down but the plainly daft subs that Keith made meant that the anger boiled over earlier ... Firstly Johnson was out of legs when Mitchell was taken off ...and if we were gonna go for the game then Camm or Johnson should of been sacrificed... Francis was not given any ball to even show what he could do.Then his masterstroke Hurran on for Jack with just ten minutes remaining. If that makes any sense to anyone then please contact me to explain it.Then to make it even more laughable and to illustrate his mistake Peters is brought on to play as a forward.Cue lots of webb out chants in various guises....
If you had seen the players faces as they came off , you would just know that they had lost faith in the manager...The no2 Mr what is it exactly that you do Glover stated that if Keith gets the sack and i guess he loses his easy ride he will blame the portly gentlemen amongst us..... well fattism is not big or clever and you clearly have lost your marbles.
Well the maths are now 6 pts from 33 , bottom of the form league and freefalling as those beneath us pick up points.

Blyth Spartans at Home
Now even those with rose tinted spectacles have to sit up and notice that we have some serious issues and I see from the forum the revolution is maybe on the way.
The team selection from the start was simply wrong,it was based on paper facts and nothing else.Where do i start on this ... there were so many faults.
Why did a not played a competitive match in 18 months Johnson /and a very poor not wide player at all Fisk get a start ahead of either Camm who played very well last week and the fit again Mitchell or even a returning to form Joe Francis.
We were at home yesterday and played an entirely negative side. For fucks sake we had not won in 9 games.Surely attack attack attack is the option .. we are always going to ship goals so we simply need to score one more than them.
Hurran who played well last week when he had a real worker beside him ( Camm) was made to look awful in his first home game by playing him along side a massively never at the races not got the legs but probably still a football brain Johnson .. Shocking ..
Johnson did eventually show how good he could be when Mitchell came on and worked his arse off allowing Johnson the time on the ball...Fuck,just who is our manger when even i can see these things.I bet Mark Camm is mighty pissed off and rightly so.
JJ and Frew up front with Fisk and Smith as the wide players . what what what ! ....It didn't work in any way last week and that was away from home so a more defensive option was more likely ... Did either Fisk or Smith get forward yesterday at all ?? JJ and Frew does not work. Why leave Jack on the bench ?? Frew has been all ego and arrogance with no contribution the last few weeks .. how does he keep his place? The balance of the team is all wrong and we are playing players because of some ratings out of ten that they have been given.... somewhere!!
Is Graham a full back .??? no he isn't then why play him there ? He is woefully out of position and it showed yet again yesterday . Mitchell is listed on all the football sites as a defender so that must mean full back, why not play him there??
The match itself , first half was amazingly awful and we should of been 3-1 down ... Can Crane head a fuckin ball... another free header in the penalty area to make it 1-1 and he heads over .. more of him later ..Second half was awful to start with again we came out with little idea until the subs came on and by that time we were 3-0 down.
The game then turned into a neutrals ideal game, good entertainment, crashing challenges, some ham fisted acting by the Spartans ..Panto next year guys all dressed in those Geordie little white belts that pass as skirts and refereeing that made the premiership referee Attwell look good.
Francis should of walked for an awful challenge,Mitchell did more work in his time on the field that any of the other players. Jack was just Jack... & we nearly salvaged a draw against a side that had not won away all season and had only scored 4 away goals ... does that sum us up...Yep!!The result does not reflect how bad we were against a side that were poor but had been coached by Christopher Biggins.
Greg Crane ... well, oh dear.As well as being poor during the game the guy is a liability .. why oh why ??... get rid of now .. why we play him when Graham, Thomas and Peters are available i don't know and then he does that on the field after getting the free kick.Bye Bye.. I am waving
Conclusions ... Webb has no idea and has to be sacked as simple as that .. he has very good senior players that are close to leaving the club because he is inept at managing a real club.He may well be a good coach of young players where winning doesn't matter but at this level he had no idea... Pieces of paper and tactic boards and not enough. After all this time he still does not know how to get the best from each player that he has or how they play together.
We now face the top two sides and have amassed the 6 pts from 30 ... As said before that is relegation form... Off we go to Tamworth with furrowed brow.

Football Comment
Mr B.Gunn in as manager at Norfolk's second side ... ?? Well done that board of directors and a big round of applause , it will probably spoil our fun at laughing at their demise and fall into the old 2nd or even older 3rd division...(What stupid names we now have for our different tiers of football) but it may prove the saving of the club as a whole.Perhaps the youth at the club may stand a chance of getting a fair crack at the first team now.
Mr K.Webb... now that was some real sense spoken in the Lynn News yesterday and it had me thinking why didn't he say all of this at the beginning of the season and not when the season is already basically written off. Has he had some big vision or a large board meeting to discuss what is happening on the pitch.I like what he is doing player wise. There is no point in keeping expensive players sitting in the stand or bench warming when you have too many better players in front of them.Ben Sedgemore had to be let go even if we did not have a replacement. His performances and commitment have been poor at best this season.I was a little sad to see Weaver go he has battled hard all season, giving blood when needed and when fit he has done a good job but there are now 4 centre halves in front of him and a couple of make shift right backs .. A real right back is just a pipe dream ..It was a common sense decision to release him.
Andy Johnson... a good short term signing if the guy has any fitness... he could make the difference between staying mid table and getting sucked into the relegation fight ..
Keeping it real that is what it is about, real budgets and real ambitions.... but this league is not as good as the management make out .. There are very few good sides just loads of average sides of which we are one of them... In how many leagues all over the world can you only get the equivalent of two wins from 9 games and still be in the same league position ..To me a perfect illustration of how poor the league is. We should be higher than we are . and the Webb youth vision should of been utilised at the beginning of the season not when the shit is hitting the fan ..He is talking the talk again to try and save his job now....
Praise where praise is due though ..I see the Youth keeper Norris thanking Keith for his help ... well done to Keith for his input and Good Luck to the lad with his England chance...
Bring on the Spartans... now what fuel does my car take ?????

Frank Turner Live 19/01
I made the late decision to escape the Scouse derby on the tv and get along to The Junction in Cambridge to see the the mighty Frank Turner ( again) this time with a full band.
His support was The folkie Emily Barker who was impressive then ...
Chris T-T who is another of the top talents, singer songwriter wise at the moment. He is in fact one of the only protest singers around worth listening too.Last night armed with just his guitar he was excellent and much better than when i last saw him in Norwich with a full band. It helped last night that the sound was excellent it wasn't in Norwich. The arts centre seem to have this thing about having it all too loud.To the old goat ( Jewish at a guess ) who responded to the Chris t-t chat about Israel by saying that they were not invading Gaza then you are very wrong.
He ran through basically a set of his best songs and was a absolute joy.
Frank Turner ... were do I start . I have seen him on several occasions with and without his band.Last night with band he showed why he is subject of much hype at this moment. He was pure quality, with sing along anthems that the crowd responded too by making it into a football crowd and then tender moments that made you think i have been through that."Long live the Queen" never fails to move me and did so again last night.Magnificent and in front of a 700 strong crowd.I normally hate seeing bands, performers that i have followed for several years suddenly become the flavour of the month but Frank is too good not to share...
He is out on tour again in March supporting Gaslight Anthem who have a Waterfront date ( Norwich) ... I think i will get that ticket now.

Farsley Celtic Away
Distance Travelled - 280 miles
Weather - lovely , dull, wet and then dark " beautiful British weather"
Very cold at the game itself up on an exposed hill
Travellers - Just the 5 ( as the King would say after leaving the pub after 20 mins)... about 25 in total at the game
Comfort Breaks - many ... a beautiful british Layby
5 set off in brillant sunshine on a lovely winters day in the King mobile....
up the Beautiful British road the A17 and then the A1 .Sounds wise it was radio 1 and then in reverse to the sounds of Radio 2 .. I kin hate the Talentless prick Reggie Yates and listening to Trevor Nelson is definitely not a beautiful British tradition in fact i would rather listen to ELO again... & again .... & again...
A Simple trip then we got misplaced in Farsley itself as the sign to the ground was about the size of the Shrimp mans sti and had been vandalised so that it was hidden and pointing to the crumblin kerb...The ground itself was in the middle of new housing with a mud field beside it really in the middle of nowhere. Chances of finding it without asking were less than the chances of Sol Campbell not being .... ( insert your own word) The land that they own is supposed to be worth millions but they have been told will never get planning permission so in real terms it is worth a tenner for the scrap value of the metal fences once the asbestos has been removed from the stand covering one end...The ground was like a posher version of Banbury but without the cows at one end .. all neat, tidy and basic. They had a very amusing head steward /safety officer dressed in a pin stripe suit about 5ft tall and he looked as he sounded like he was up his own arse... Very funny...In charge of the massive crowd of 309 ..ha ha ...segregation ....
Lovely bar staff ,dressed in an indie Leeds style...very nice on the eye ... I am still on the J2o so can't tell you about the beer .The food was poor ... I broke a rule and had a burger which tasted of nothing at all.. the pastries would of been a better option me thinks.
The game ... it was a good battle in both halves, with it stuck in the midfield for most the first half with them creating one good chance with the lad trying to hit the ball luckily for us hitting a top class air shot .JJ should of done better later on but got out muscled (ie. didn't react quick enough) to get his shot away from 5 yards. We then had a stone wall penalty turned down for a blatant push/shove over in the box.It was right in front of us.The rest of the first half just died out.
Second half saw us come out in a hurry and hit the bar ( Graham again) and have the ball cleared off the line from the scramble that followed.W then let them come at us at will .Smith just sat and was poor. Both of their full backs were attacking at will .The 4-4-2 set up ( nothing wrong with that )& Frew and JJ in the middle it left us very exposed on the flanks and the Celtic manager sussed this ... Did we react to it on the bench ... did we heck as they say up North. We got lucky/unlucky in the fact that Smith got injured so Francis came on which tightened it up a bit .
We were just saying that JJ had been poor and also stating that his service had been poor when he turned the centre half in and out then out and in again before hitting a shot that the keeper could only Parry out for Frew to then have a go that the keeper again parried this time to Fisk who conjured a shot from within him that mustered more than a trickle on the Richter scale to hit the back of the net ... The cynics amongst immediately sensed that we would struggle to hold on for ten minutes as Farsley threw the kitchen sink and the goalkeeper in the end to scramble a deserved equaliser in a very even game.
Positives ...the lad Hurren looked very good as did Graham and Thomas ( to our amusement the Farsley announcer turned vicar re-christened him Thomas Bradley in the pre match team announcement .. guess you had to be there.)
A good point we could say but it still means we have not won since the 8th of November and have collected just 6 pts from the last 27 ...In Black and white is that good enough...?..with all bar one team below us having games in hand ( many with 2 or more ) and only 9 points off of the relegation places ..To me sitting 11th is an artificial position with our form, especially with games against the top 2 in the next two weeks ...I am beginning to worry slightly despite the way we played yesterday.

Two out of three aint bad
We wanted three out and now two are gone with the third to follow at the end of April ?
Seven pages of analysis in today's EDP and all over the local tv , with street interviews that amusingly included a very fine lady that said Gary Holt... well it was his his wife.
At least he would inject some passion on and off the pitch for Norfolk's second team.
Boothroyd, Robins?? Is the job a poisoned chalice?
Can they be rescued , probably with a bit of fight.Offload the loan players that don't give a monkeys and let some of the youth come through...
Guess the removal of Keith will get one page( that will do me)

Sort of Funny Joke... Groan...
A young couple was making passionate love in the guy's van when suddenly the girl yelled, "Whip me. Whip me!"
The guy, eager to please, obviously didn't have a whip, but, in a flash of inspiration, opened his window, snapped the radio antenna off his van, and they shared it until they both collapsed in a sadomasochistic ecstasy.
A week later, the girl noticed that the marks left by their lovemaking session were starting to fester, so she asked her doctor to check them out.
The doctor took one look and asked, "Did you get these marks having sex?" Embarrassed, she admitted that she did.
The doctor nodded. "I thought so. In all my years of doctoring... this is the worst case of 'Van Aerial Disease' I've ever seen!"

Guts or Balls
We have all heard about people having guts or balls, but do you really know the difference between them?
I have given some examples below to help you make the distinction.
GUTS- Is arriving home late, after a night out with the boys only to be met by your wife with a broom, and having the guts to ask "are you still cleaning or are you flying somewhere"?
BALLS- Is arriving home late after a night out with the boys, smelling of perfume, beer and with lipstick on your collar, then having the balls to slap your wifes arse and say, "your next fatty".
Have you done either .......?????

I see Uncle Ken has given the purse string speech in the EDP today , guess we knew it was coming. He is correct though, those ego filled half decent journeymen footballers do want far too much money.Should we pay it ..not if it will bankrupt us or derail our long term survival plans but lets be honest with the truth about our ambitions. The bigger picture is that most sides will be fine this season but looking for sponsorship next season is going to be incredibly tough as people are either cash strapped or are saving what they have got.Plans to attract paying customers for the new season have to formulated now as well.Inventive plans.

Media Spin
The EDP reports that Graham is staying until the end of the season today ... good times , perhaps we can play him at centre half .. oh know,I forgot we still don't have a right back.
At least that is better news that the feel good spin that was generated the day before about Daryl Clare .... really come to us,now although that would be amazing but it isn't gonna happen or is it?Is it all about the money?
Taylor back and Clare with him in the Summer ? Now that would upset the the ole Tory kick out anyone that mumbles a swear word brigade.
A discussion was had at the last game about Mr Taylor with both sides having solid views.
One side was arguing that he was never at training, only turned up 30 minutes before a game and didn't do the community stuff that Keith does...
The other side argued that all of this may be true but he did get us playing some great football some of the best witnessed at the Walks and took us to the top of the league comfortably before being poached for a wage that far outweighed the one he was on.Was he paid to do the community stuff?Isn't management all about delegation?
Would the community stuff exist without the first team as its successful hub?
Would he of stayed if offered the money that Keith and Lee are on? There has been a lot of bitchiness spread at board level and by the other hanger-oners that loiter around that door, and there are many of them all ready and willing to gossip.
Fuck em all.Fetch him back in the summer if not before and let him manage the team and get a coach that coaches to help him.Use Glover if he can coach?Has he ever had a chance to put his view across with Keith in charge or is he just on a jolly at our expense.
Any chance of the match being on this Saturday with all of the this never been seen before cold weather before . Fuck the media is full of shit.

AFC Telford at Home
Praise is now going to come , it was a good performance in an entertaining overall game.A pantomime referee who let all sorts of shenanigans go totally unpunished. Who let the Telford players rant and rave at him all day without any reproach, guess Adam Smith was shorter than him so he felt less bullied. Telford cheated, scammed, kicked, dived for free kicks as well as diving two footed into tackles and then scrambled an undeserved goal that was either knee or hand depending on which side you support. In fact they did everything that gets a team into the play off zone.. Lets hope we learn a few lessons in cynical professionalism from them.
Good entertainment in front of an aldershot level ( in joke) of away support that had a go at banter and singing. The carol singers must of been off stealing from the credit crunch bargain hunters.
Again it showed that 4-4-2 works.
At worst we cancelled them out and at best we cut through them at ease.Any bullshit that Uncle Keith has written in programmes about not playing one up front and actually playing 4-3-3 most of the time is in my own manager voice bullshit. We have not played it simple as.
Is Keith in the same patronising camp as Roeder in what he thinks of fans and their knowledge. We might not have the badges but most of us do know what we are talking about even if it not always expressed in the politest terms.
Back to the game the Telford goalkeeper made 3 top class saves any keeper would of been proud of to deny us and when we did score from a ball that looked out of play when it was cut back it was more than deserved.
Credit where credit is due .
Will we kick on up in Manchester on Saturday or is it back to reality?
What does concern me is that in a radio interview on Friday Keith spoke of a dressing room that is split into little clicks and that they all need to pull together. Has he lost the dressing room?
Make Mark Camm captain again to start with.
One negative is that is Fisk good enough? No.

Did you Know
That the current club first team fine for a yellow card is £35 pounds so a dodgy referee, a slightly late tackle, doing it for the club can mean real money out of the pocket..Is that why Chapman didn't bring the player down much earlier in the game vs Stafford ?
That leaves Jack £175 out of pocket (without the sending off) for putting in normal challenges. He gets the shit kicked out of him by central defenders but is more than picked on when challenging for the ball himself... As a player that doesn't need to challenge for a ball would you bother again ?
Food for thought !
More managerial miss management?
I agree that fines need to be paid for daft challenges and dissent but there should be some degree of sensibility. Will the fine stop a player making a professional challenge when needed? Probably .
So do we stand a chance against Telford today? I won't put money on it.

Two nil up and fucked it up....Keith webb...Keith webb
So where do you start...Plan B..= Bullshit....
Tactics more like Tictacs.....
He got lucky that Mr Defty had a chest infection .. ha ha on New Years Day !!
& because of that The 6 toed side struggled against some direct attacking which included pace.
We should of been at least 3 up at half time especially if the man ego that is Frew had put the ball in the net before planning his celebration. Good Performances all over the field except Crane.
Can he head a ball ??? Is that what centre halves do ?
So what should we expect the 6 toed fiends to do second half> For them to tighten the space up and to stop us playing. what should we of done ... More of the same ??? Sit back and let them have the ball ??......
We were piss poor second half , can we not adapt our game when other teams do ?
Can the manager not get new instructions out that are listened too. Do the players have an issue with the manager? Fisk was awful second half and i mean awful . Crane continues in the same vain. The forwards had no ball and Francis spent nearly all of the half defending when not hitting an air shot that should of sealed the game.
Where was Sedgemore ?
I read the Webb interview in the paper about not playing like Championship manager in the second half... Why not ... get the game killed off... because we can't defend a bloody lead...
Prepare the Gallows
1050 odd for a new years day fixture.. not bad but should be better .
£1.20 for a bottle of diet coke.. Now that is taking the piss..I will bring my own on Saturday.
I understand the financial reason for the switching the Telford game , guess we know that our season is over bar the relegation battle then.Nothing Like the season of good will to other sides. Bet they didn't fancy the Tuesday night trip. Are we turning into a soft touch on and off the field?

Two home games in three days... is this the the crucial time for Uncle Keith?
Will the board come out and indicate their support for him?
How loudly will he get booed when it all goes tits up again?
Will the Tory loving daily mail readers that populate the forum turn on the Numptys?
Lets hope so ..
It is time for the fans to rise up and speak their minds... If its shit , reflect for a few seconds then tell em...
Will The Kitman offer someone else for a fight ? Why is he tolerated ?
